We're building a community rooted in trust, safety, and York pride. These guidelines keep yuMeet positive for everyone.

Be Authentic

yuMeet is for verified York University students. Use your real name and an accurate profile. Impersonation or fake accounts will be permanently banned.

Respect the Community

Treat every student with respect. We have zero tolerance for harassment, hate speech, bullying, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or orientation.

Safety First

When using the Marketplace or meeting up, always prioritize safety. Meet in public campus locations like Vari Hall or Scott Library, and let a friend know your plans.

No Spam or Scams

Do not use yuMeet for unauthorized commercial promotion, spamming, or fraudulent activities. Our Marketplace is for peer-to-peer student exchange only.

Keep it Legal

Do not post content that promotes illegal activities, violence, or substance abuse. We comply with all local laws and university regulations.

Reporting Violations

If you see something that violates these guidelines, report it immediately in-app or email our safety team. We review all reports within 24 hours.
